GET OUT, GET ACTIVE

Healthier Bodies, Minds, Spirits, & Families

"I want to encourage families to pull away from the virtual world for an hour a day and make outdoor activity a part of their daily routine.  As families get out and get active, we will see a rising generation of healthier individuals who not only enjoy being physically active, but also have greater peace of mind, happier spirits, and stronger family relationships."

HAWAII ELITE ATHLETIC TRAINING FOR KIDS

What is HEATKamp?

Hawaiʻi Elite Athletic Training is owned and operated by Shane Lyman, Master Fitness Trainer and Athletic Coach, who also happens to be the husband of Pōmaikaʻi Lyman, Mrs. Hawaiʻi International 2016.  In response to their 4 young childrenʻs inquiry for Daddy to train them the way he trains his clients in the gym, Mom suggested that the kids invite some friends out during the school break and Daddy would give them a program to work on, much like a bootcamp.  Because they are too young to be lifting weights, Daddy designed a program that incorporates stretching, cardiovascular, speed, skills & coordination drills to offer the most optimum fitness result for youth of all ages.  Thus, HEATKamp was born!

Who can do HEATKamp?

HEATKamp is open to youth of all ages.  Children under age 5 must be accompanied by a responsible youth/adult throughout the hour.  Groups & Drills are adjusted to accommodate both age and level of ability.  Experienced youth athletes are encouraged to participate and may be enlistd as Junior Coaches.  Parents and other family members are also welcomed to join in the fun!

When is HEATKamp?

HEATKamp sessions are held during public school intersessions.  Schedules for HEATKamp are released at least 2 weeks prior to each school intersession (fall, winter, spring, and summer).  Each session is 1 hour long.

HEATKamp is held at various parks in downtown Honolulu, Hawaiʻi.  Previous sites include Ala Moana Beach Park, Kakaʻako Waterfront Park, and Lanakila District Park.  Site Locations are subject to change, but will be released at least 2 weeks in advance with session schedule.
